Jaw Joint Problems

Commonly majority of people will have some jaw joint issues, although only a minority of people will seek treatment.

Most of the treatments are managed without surgery rarely some will require surgery.

Generally patients will have some of the following ; limited jaw movement; stuck or locked jaw; clicking, grating or popping noises from the TMJ; pain chewing, yawning or opening the jaw widely; ear or cheek pain; headaches; grinding teeth; toothache; ear ache; muscle spasms.

Although often annoying a jaw joint problem is not serious and does not lead to other problems. Typically patients respond to the conservative treatment well.
